TAFL
Tafl is a Celtic version of an old Norse game. One side - the defending side - has to try to get the King piece to the corner of the board. The other side - the attacking side - is aiming to capture the King piece before it gets to the corner.
Each game includes:
8 square pieces and a king piece
16 round pieces
a screenprinted playing board, approximately 15cm x 15cm
postcard with game rules and instructions
All pieces are handmade from hazel, from sustainably managed coppice sites in Central Scotland.
